Can recessed floor sockets be fitted with underfloor heating?
The floor socket has to be between the pipes / cables with 35mm or more clearance. Don't forget to allow for conduit or wiring to the floor socket as well when laying the underfloor heating.

Will this product fit into an unfinished floor?
No, our recessed floor sockets are designed to be installed into a finished floor. They require a stable, level surface for proper installation and secure fitting. Please ensure your floor is fully completed before installing the product. If you have any questions regarding installation, please contact us for guidance.

How are recessed floor sockets fitted when screeding a floor?
Wait until the floor is screeded floor has dried, then cut out the space for the socket into the floor.

Can you fit recessed floor sockets into carpeted floor?
Yes. For the metal lidded floor sockets cut a hole in the carpet for recessed box and the edge flanges that the lid sits can cover the carpet edge. Alternatively, and for flush recessed floor sockets, cut the carpet to the edge of the lid.

What flooring will fit in the lid of flush recessed floor sockets?
The lid will accept any floor material - stone, porcelain, wood or carpet - within it's 15mm depth.

What are the dimensions of the recessed floor sockets?
Each socket has a dimensions image - single, double and triple - according to the socket sizes available. You may need to scroll through the images to find the appropriate diagram.

How are the flush recessed floor sockets opened?
There is a hidden handle in the centre of the metal strip at the front of the floor socket. Press on one end to lift the handle and rotate the handle into place to use. Rotate back again to hide the handle flush with the lid.

Are the cable cutouts in the lid covered when not in use?
The cable cutouts remain open when not being used.

Can the lids be stood on?
Yes the lids can be stood on but we do not recommend standing furniture legs or other heavy items on the lids.

How do I clean my products?
To clean your recessed floor sockets, we recommend using a soft cloth and mild cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals to preserve the finish.

How long is the warranty on recessed floor sockets?
Fifteen years on electrical components and 10 years on the floor socket surround.
