Our Story

FloorPower is a family-run business, founded by a father and son with a shared belief in doing things properly.

My dad has spent over 40 years in the electrical industry, working across electrical wholesale, lighting design, and the design and supply of sockets and switches. He’s always been known for one thing above all else — finding practical solutions to real problems, and building long-term relationships built on trust.

The idea for FloorPower came from a simple frustration. We noticed that most floor sockets on the market were spring-loaded and poorly designed — they didn’t close properly once something was plugged in. That frustration turned into a real wake-up moment when we visited our local gym. In the cardio room, every single floor socket was bent and damaged from people standing on them. It was clear these products weren’t built for real life.

So, we decided to fix it.

Together, we designed a floor socket that simply works. No spring-loaded lids. No weak points. Just solid, reliable design that can handle real-world use. Every FloorPower product is designed in-house, made in England, and built to last. In fact, we’ve never had one fail.

My role is to bring the story to life — building the brand, the online experience, and connecting directly with our customers — while my dad focuses on what he does best: design, quality, and distribution.

We care deeply about quality and reputation. We want FloorPower to be a brand people recommend without hesitation, because they know it’s been designed by real people who stand behind what they make.

At the end of the day, it’s just the two of us. No big corporation. No shortcuts. Just a small family business creating products we’re genuinely proud of — and that we’d happily use ourselves.
